We are now five years into our Trusted Flagger Program, which was developed to provide a robust and efficient way for organizations to alert us to content that potentially violates our Terms of Service. All valid content URLs reported by our Trusted Flaggers are automatically disabled and reviewed by our dedicated team of moderators.
The program consists of a network of 65 leading non-governmental organizations (NGOs), internet safety experts, and sex worker advocates across 38 countries, using tools to efficiently report and expedite the removal of content they believe violates our Terms of Service.
The most recent additions to our Trusted Flagger Program are our partner organizations, SWOP Behind Bars, who provide support and resources for incarcerated sex workers, and Speak Up, a feminist initiative in Egypt that combats sexual harassment and violence in all forms.
Detection Tools
Over the years, we continually lead the industry with our ever-evolving Trust & Safety measures designed to help keep our platform and users safe. From detection and prevention tools to seamless reporting, illegal material has no place on our platform.
When content is uploaded to our platform, we use a variety of automated detection tools for reviewing and removing any illegal material before it is published, including:
- CSAI Match, YouTube’s proprietary technology for combating Child Sexual Abuse Imagery online.
- Photo DNA, Microsoft’s technology that aids in finding and removing known images of child sexual abuse material.
- Safeguard, Aylo’s proprietary image recognition technology designed with the purpose of combatting both child sexual abuse imagery and non-consensual content, by preventing the re-uploading of previously fingerprinted content to Pornhub.
- Content Safety API, Google's artificial intelligence tool that helps detect illegal imagery.
- StopNCII.org: A global initiative that prevents the spread of non-consensual intimate images (NCII) online.
- And many more you can learn about here.
There is nothing more important to us than the safety of the Pornhub community, and we are always looking for new ways to enhance our safety measures and create a gold standard across the internet. While leading non-profit and advocacy groups recognize that our efforts have been effective, we understand that our efforts must be ongoing and always strive to innovate. With evolving technologies and best practices in place, it's our commitment to continue to review and enhance our processes to make sure we are the safest community on the internet.
If you work for an NGO, statutory office or other community group and wish to join the Trusted Flagger Program, please reach out to us to express your interest. Please note that, at this time, membership is limited to organizations. Thank you for understanding.
