As the digital environment evolves, we remain committed to giving you the tools and support you need to protect your personal safety, content, and well-being.
In Part 3 of our Cyber Safety series, we highlight new resources, expert partnerships, and proactive measures designed to keep our community safe—both on and off our platform.
From specialized training with trusted organizations to global initiatives against exploitation, we’re here to support and empower you at various stages of your career.

Safety Training with the Cupcake Girls
We’re proud to work with The Cupcake Girls, an organization that provides advocacy and referral services to consensual sex workers, as well as prevention and aftercare services to those affected by sex trafficking. In 2023, Aylo (Pornhub’s parent company), partnered with The Cupcake Girls to create new resources, in-person and virtual opportunities to facilitate access to information, and support for content creators working both in studios and independently.
In March, we collaborated and launched a new video series focused on safety for adult performers. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to combating exploitation and improving online safety within the adult industry.
The first two episodes feature well-known performers sharing their expertise:
- Cherie DeVille offers advice on safely shooting your own content.
- Sofia Rose discusses best practices when working with talent agencies.
Whether you’re new or experienced, the Safety Training video series with The Cupcake Girls is a valuable resource for safe work practices. We are looking forward to expanding in the coming months with more topics.

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) Partnership
We’re proud to work with the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), one of the world’s leading child protection organizations. In March 2023, we announced a partnership with the IWF overseen by an Expert Advisory Board that includes representatives from several organizations.
This partnership is focused on:
- Developing industry-leading standards to combat child sexual abuse imagery online.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of IWF services across Aylo’s brands.
- Combining technical and engineering expertise to create solutions for detecting, disrupting, and removing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online.
- Providing a safer internet for all.
In May 2024, Aylo and the IWF published the world’s first standards of good practice for adult content sites, paving the way for the industry to join the fight against child sexual abuse online.
This partnership directly benefits the Model community by fostering a safer online environment. By setting rigorous standards and implementing advanced detection tools, we help protect Models from potential exploitation and ensure their content is shared responsibly. These efforts support a professional, respectful, and trustworthy space for all creators.
Lucy Faithfull Foundation & Deterrence Messaging
We’re proud to work with The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a respected non-profit organization leading the fight against CSAM. One of their key initiatives is a campaign to deter searches for underage content, establishing a safer internet for all.
Working together, we’ve developed deterrence messaging that appears when users search for terms related to CSAM. These messages clearly state the illegality of such content and provide free, confidential, and anonymous support resources for those seeking help to control illegal behavior. On Pornhub, attempts to search for illegal material already yield no results, but the deterrence message informs users the content they have searched for could be illegal and harmful to themselves and others. The message also aims to reduce shame in asking for help.
Our partnership extends globally, with localized deterrence messaging now available in eleven languages and regions. This ongoing work helps change user behavior and reinforces our zero-tolerance approach to illegal content. We know that a safe online community is important to those who use our platforms. That’s why we are proud of the ongoing work we do to detect and deter bad actors and ensure Pornhub remains a place where Models and users feel protected.

Trust and Safety Initiatives
At Pornhub, we remain steadfast in taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of our users and platform. These measures include only allowing verified content creators to upload to our platform, the use of several tools and technologies, as well as human review by trained moderators prior to the publication of content to ensure that content adheres to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. This process also includes verifying the identity and consent of every performer seen in user-generated content uploaded through our Model Program.
We use advanced tools like CSAI Match, PhotoDNA, Safeguard, StopNCII.org, and others to detect and block illegal or non-consensual content before it goes live.
Pornhub’s Trusted Flagger Program helps keep our community safe by partnering with 72 organizations in 41 countries to quickly flag and remove content that violates our Terms of Service. When these trusted partners report something, it’s instantly disabled and reviewed by our moderation team.
By maintaining these high safety standards, we help ensure your content is protected and that you can create and share your content with confidence on our platform.
